Privacy Policy
This policy explains how the Noffi team handles personal information when you visit noffi.ai, join our waitlist, or use the Noffi app. You can contact us at team@egyptianlabs.com.
1. Information we collect
Waitlist: we collect your email address and signup time. App: when you sign in with Apple or Google, we receive the account information the provider shares, such as an identifier, name, email address, and profile image. We store the tasks, subtasks, descriptions, dates, routines, completion history, focus sessions, conversation messages, and personalization choices you create. Information you send to support is also collected.
2. How we use information
We use waitlist information to record your interest and send Noffi launch and access updates you request. Joining the waitlist does not create an app account. We use app information to provide your account, synchronize your plans and conversations, generate AI responses, show progress, manage subscriptions, and maintain the service. We use limited technical and usage information to diagnose problems, improve features, and prevent abuse. We do not sell your personal information or use it for targeted advertising. Where a legal basis is required, we rely on consent for waitlist updates and microphone access, performance of our agreement for app features, legitimate interests for security and service improvement, and legal obligations where applicable.
3. AI chat and voice input
When you use AI chat, your message and relevant context, including tasks and conversation history, are sent through our backend to Google’s Gemini service to generate a response. If a feature uses web search, the relevant search query may be sent to the search provider. When you enable voice input, audio is streamed to ElevenLabs for transcription; the resulting text appears in the input and is sent as a chat message when you submit it. Noffi does not save the raw voice audio in its task or chat database. Providers process information under their own service terms and privacy practices. Avoid sharing information you do not want processed by these services.
4. Service providers and sharing
We use Supabase for cloud database storage and authentication; Apple and Google for sign-in; Google Gemini for AI responses; ElevenLabs for voice transcription; RevenueCat and the app stores for subscription management; and PostHog for app usage analytics. The website currently has no advertising or analytics trackers. Our website host processes standard connection information to deliver and secure the site. Payment card details are handled by the app store, not stored by Noffi. We may also disclose information when legally required, to protect rights or safety, or as part of a business transfer with appropriate safeguards. These providers may process information outside your country; applicable transfer safeguards are used where required.
5. Device storage and permissions
Tasks and chat messages use your cloud account as their source of truth. The app may store session credentials, language and onboarding preferences, device settings, and temporary session state on your device. App blocking and screen-time features rely on operating-system permissions and platform controls. Microphone access is requested when you use voice input. You can revoke permissions in your device settings, although related features may stop working. The website uses an essential language-preference cookie; the companion and environment previews do not save a profile or create an account.
6. Retention and deletion
We retain waitlist information until the launch communication is complete, you ask to leave, or the list is no longer needed. To leave the waitlist or request deletion, email team@egyptianlabs.com from the address you registered. We retain app information while needed to provide your account, unless you delete it or request account deletion. Certain records may be retained when necessary for legal, payment, security, or dispute purposes; backups may remain for the provider’s normal backup cycle. We do not keep personal information longer than needed for these purposes.
7. Security
We use access controls, encrypted connections, and server-side credentials to protect information. Waitlist records are not publicly readable or writable through the database API; submissions are handled by our server. No storage or transmission method is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
8. Your choices and rights
You can ask to access, correct, export, or delete your information by contacting team@egyptianlabs.com. Depending on where you live, you may also have rights to restrict or object to processing, withdraw consent, and complain to a data-protection authority. Withdrawing consent does not affect processing already carried out lawfully. We may need to verify your identity before fulfilling a request. You can stop waitlist updates at any time by contacting us or using an unsubscribe option included in a message.
9. Children
Noffi is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information. If you believe a child has provided personal information, contact team@egyptianlabs.com so we can investigate and remove it. Any higher minimum age required by local law also applies.
10. Changes and contact
We may update this policy as the service changes. We will revise the date above and provide additional notice of material changes where required. For privacy questions or requests, contact the Noffi team at team@egyptianlabs.com.
